Red Cross Vintage Postcard

vintage postcard
This clumsy cookie slipped down the stairs yesterday. I am one scraped and bruised up gal! I'm plastered from head to toe with Batman band - aids. It's quite the fashion statement:) Ouch! Doesn't the caped crusader look tough?

Ruby Tuesday!

The postcard of the nurse with the worried look, is very appropriate for the occasion! I have Harry Potter band-aid! Thanks for your visit. I hope your bruises will soon disappear!

Cute looking nurse ! Better then the once today, lol !
Yes I live on the Waterloo battle field, if you go to my main blog Writer Cramps I just published a little walk through the city ! Otherwise you find things on my Countries and cities blog.

I hope you are alright and the bruises will vanish soon! What a beautiful postcard though. Batman and Harry Potter band-aids? Wow, I wish we had them... or then again may be not. My kids would find them too cool and scrap their bodies with the whole package ;). They have done that before with more ordinary ones. Have a great day, Marie.

That's what succeed in a family with 3 boys, there're only Batman band-aids in the medecine cabinet !

What were you doing ? Suddenly, you craved for chocolate and ran to the kitchen ?
Take care.

What an awesome postcard! I hope you feel better soon, it looks like you already have the strongest band-aids around to help out! :)

Thank you for visiting my blog. Batman bandaids! Hmm.
Your postcards are lovely and fun. My great grandfather sent many postcards from France during World War One. They were kept in the "magic" drawer in grandmother`s bureau along with other bits of her past. I loved those postcards.

I`ll be back,
Catherine

Hi Marie. Yes, we had a blast in France the last two weeks and two days. More below.
I am sorry you hurt yourself, I hope nothing (except your feelings) was broken. Last year I fell and broke my knee cap, in Ireland of all places.

This time I didn't fall. We flew Air France to Barecelona through Paris. Then we drove into the French Midi-Pyrénées. We stayed outside Carcassonne for three nights (Mrs. Jim can tell us the town) in a very old hotel and toured the area.
I probably enjoyed Albi the most. The Toulouse-lautrec Museum was my favorite there.
It was back to Barcelona for a couple of nights with first an overnight stay in Andorra.
Then we flew to Paris and stayed three nights in the Eiffel area and then drove up to Belgium with French stays on the way.
Our Holiday ended with a nice day visit to Giverny and the Monet Gardens.

I will be blogging from time to time about this European Holiday.
..
Happy RT, and thanks for your visit and nice comment. I liked Étretat a lot too. Our stay in Honfleur was really nice.
We like to visit France, this is about my sixth time.

Sounds painful. I hope your feeling OK now.

Bryan said...

Hopefully you heal soon. I prefer care bear band-aids. They just seem so much happier than Batman, but at the same time Batman would protect you from the forces of evil, something I'm not sure the Care Bears could do.

What a darling post. I was just reading about nurses in England around the turn of the century. Thank goodness for Florence Nightengale! She turned nursing on its ear. What a brave, lovely woman.

I was sorry to hear you are covered in batman bandages! I have some little mermaid ones you could have if you needed 'em....
