Doesn't she look a bit hesitant? vintage postcardsEnjoy this quirky post? Get future vintage postcard updates sent to you for free! Join by email or RSS

I have just had such fun catching up with you .. from smooches to Norma Jean to your budding career as a potential cartoonist .. wonderful .. now I hope that the busy has subsided so I can visit more often!

I think the women were used to mustache burns in those days:)
Is he a soldier? He looks more like a miner. But if she looks hesitant, it's probably because the photographer made her hold perfectly still for several seconds. In any case, quelle bonne surprise!
I'm with you - ditch the moustache soldier. The Mister has one, but for some reason it doesn't look or feel as threatening is the soldier's.
Oh there used to be a really naughty saying about mustaches that I won't say here :D
With or without moustache, no question to kiss someone in front of the camera, for a postal card suitable for all!
What? You've never kissed a man with a mustache? Mustache burn? Never heard of such a thing. Yep, I have a beard and a mustache.
She doesn't look at all keen.
Maybe the "delicieuse surprise" was that it was an edible mustache...chocolate maybe, or licorice?
Perhaps she was waiting for him to "pay up".
Perhaps the guy with mustache that time mean "MAN".
I used to like hairy faces but now that I'm older I prefer the clean shaven look. ♥ ∞
These moustaches are a bit... cumbersome for women, aren't they?... :-)
Heh-heh! She's looking as if she thinks it smells!! :^)
She does look abit hesitant. I like a man with facial hair, but in those days their moustaches were huge. It could be worse.... she could have been the one with the moustache, LOL!
When it comes to sex and romance, there appear to be two kinds of images: those that came before, and those that came after, Cole Porter's Anything Goes. No prizes for guessing which category this one falls into.
Is it really only a century or so since photos like this were "looked on as something shocking"?
Funny! Yes, she does look a bit apprehensive! Maybe it's his breath! LOL
she looks like all women do, shy yet willing!
Soooooooo sweet :)
But it's a delicious surprise! Ha.
Hope every thing Ok for you since you don't post since a long time.
Bonne semaine
